The CWFL are delighted to inform you that Vernon Keep has been selected to take on the role of CWFL Representative Team Manager. He will be taking responsibility for both the Open Age team and the CWFL Vets teams.
Vernon brings with him a wealth of experience of the league and has proven to be a winner in his last post as Blacon Youth Vets manager, winning an array of trophies over the last couple of years. He will be in touch directly with all clubs in the near future to introduce himself and to ask about any players you would like to recommend for the squad.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Vernon all the very best in his new role as he now starts to formulate a squad to play The Cheshire Football League in our upcoming FA Inter League Cup game to be played in October.
The CWFL Monday night and Friday night 11’s will be starting on September 25th. There will be two divisions on each night, one in Chester and the other in Ellesmere Port.

It is with regret that we inform you that Ellesmere Port FC Reserves have had to fold. This is despite the efforts of both the club and league to keep them going. As a result their record to date will be expunged and the CWFL Olympic Trophies Division One will now show 11 teams.
The CWFL have introduced a new 4 team division for new Vets teams who will be competing in the 2017-2018 season. For the remainder of this campaign Farndon Vets, Hartford Vets, Waverton Vets and Westminster Vets will play games against each other to gain experience for the following year. Thanks to a CCFA funding each team will be ready to kick off in the coming weeks. Due to demand the CWFL are welcoming applications for our new Monday Night Flexi Football Division. Games consist of 2 x 25 minute halves played Ellesmere Port Sports Village with fixtures on a fortnightly basis. It costs £50 to enter a team which covers insurance and then it is on a pay as you play basis.
