The CDFL Chester Standard Cayzer Shield Final will be held at the Swansway Stadium, home of Chester FC on Wednesday 29th April, 6:30pm kick off. All are welcome to see the top two teams in Division Two, Blacon Thistle FC and Woodchurch Athletic FC, contest a close game. Admission is £3.50 with children under 16 free if accompanied by an adult.

The CDFL would like to send our condolences to all the family and friends of local football star Danny Jones. Danny, whose picture appears on the top right of our web site, was a well known individual whose enthusiasm and passion for football rubbed off on anyone who knew him. As well as being a coach with the Chester FC Academy, he was also a founding member of CDFL Premier Division side City Bar. His passing at the age of 31 will be a massive blow to his family and all our thoughts and wishes are with them at this very sad time. RIP Danny.

The CDFL are proud to announce that Woodchurch FC have been accredited Charter Standard Status this week. League Secretary, Paul Graham, commented “We are delighted that all the hard work by Phil and his team has been acknowledged with this award. We now hope that our other clubs will follow their example and start towards their own accreditation.”

It is with deep regret that we hear today of the passing of former Cheshire County FA Secretary Alan Collins. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. As a mark of respect and to acknowledge his contribution to all levels of football all CDFL games will be holding a minutes silence on Saturday 10th January 2015.
The CDFL are proud to announce that we have been invited to enter a representative side into the national FA Inter League Cup in 2015-2016 season. As such we will now be asking for applications from coaches and team organisers for the vacant posts. Full details will be circulated in due course. It shows the quality of football being played in Chester, Wirral and surrounding areas by CDFL players. We will now start the process of recruitment to ensure our side gets off to a winning start.”
A Special General Meeting of the league has been called for Thursday 4th December 2014.
It will be held in the Legends Lounge of the Swansway Stadium, Bumpers Lane, Chester, commencing at 7pm. All clubs must be in attendance.
